African Ancestry Faculty and Staff Association

The African Ancestry Faculty and Staff Association (AAFSA) at Cal State East Bay is dedicated to the creation, maintenance, and refinement of an anti-racist environment open and relevant to all people and communities. We holistically support Faculty and Staff of African Ancestry while ensuring that Cal State East Bay provides a culturally affirming experience. Furthermore, AAFSA commits to supporting Cal State East Bay in broadening its outreach within the community and bridging the gap between East Bay and the African Ancestry populations in its service area. AAFSA is dedicated to disrupting the status quo in a way that provides equity, ample representation, and successful community connections. In an increasingly complex, multicultural and multiracial society, AAFSA continues to fight for social justice and equity for everyone of African Ancestry.
